Program Limitations & What Students Should Know
No Federal Financial Aid
Because I AM University is not currently accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting agency, students are not eligible for federal financial aid programs, including Federal Pell Grants, Federal Direct Loans (Stafford Loans, PLUS Loans), Federal Work-Study, or any other Title IV federal student aid programs.
Students seeking to finance their education should not anticipate federal financial aid availability. Private financing, employer tuition assistance, scholarship programs, and personal resources are the available funding mechanisms.
Credit Transfer Is Not Guaranteed
Credits or credentials earned at I AM University are not automatically transferable to other institutions. Because the institution is not regionally or nationally accredited, receiving institutions are under no obligation to accept credits earned here. Transfer decisions are made entirely at the discretion of the receiving institution.
Students who anticipate transferring to another institution should contact that institution directly to determine whether any credits or credentials earned at I AM University would be accepted. We encourage prospective students to make this inquiry before enrollment if transfer credit is a factor in their decision.
No Degree Conferral
I AM University does not currently award academic degrees (associate, bachelor, master, or doctoral). Current programs result in institutional certificates of completion or continuing education credits, which are distinct from degree credentials. Prospective students should not enroll with the expectation of receiving a degree.
Professional Licensure Consideration
Completion of non-degree programs at I AM University does not fulfill the educational requirements for professional licensure in any field. Students pursuing licensed professions (teaching, nursing, counseling, law, etc.) should verify the licensing requirements of their state licensing board independently and should not rely on I AM University programs to satisfy those requirements.
Faith-Based Institutional Identity
I AM University is an explicitly faith-based institution. Our curriculum, community standards, and institutional culture reflect a Christian worldview. Prospective students should review our Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct to ensure alignment with the institution's values before enrolling.
Section 3
State Authorization & Operating Jurisdiction
I AM University is an online educational institution. As a non-degree, non-Title-IV institution, the institution's obligations under state authorization frameworks vary by jurisdiction.
The institution is in the process of evaluating applicable state authorization requirements in states where students reside. Prospective students are advised to contact their state's higher education agency to inquire about the status of any authorization for I AM University to operate in their state.
Students who reside in a state where the institution is not authorized to operate may face limitations on enrollment. We encourage prospective students to contact our admissions office to discuss their specific state of residence before enrolling.
This institution is not currently subject to the U.S. Department of Education's State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), as SARA participation requires institutional accreditation. The institution will pursue SARA membership as appropriate when accreditation is achieved.
